Dance

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul”
Martha Graham

Dance at Rose Bay Secondary College promotes opportunities for performance within the schools diverse curriculum as well as an extra- curricular activity. As a faculty, our aim is to encourage all interested students to experience and develop knowledge and understanding of Dance as an ‘Artform’ through performing, composing and appreciating dance.

In an integrated study of the practices of performance, composition and appreciation, students develop both physical skill and aesthetic, artistic and cultural understandings. The course enables students to express ideas creatively and to communicate physically, verbally and in written forms as they make, perform and analyse dances and dance forms, regardless of previous experience or level of skill.
